Measure the length of the qamis, from the top of the shoulder without paying attention to the sewing to the bottom of the qamis. Remember: The qamis must not extend below the ankles because the Prophet (May blessings and peace be upon him) said: "The part of the garment that hangs below the ankles is in the Fire" (Sahih Al Boukhari 5787).
